Our Leaders

Jeff joined Cobalt in 2013 as CEO with more than 20 years experience in developing and leading high-performance technology sales organizations.  Prior to Cobalt, Jeff was Vice President of Sales for Savvis, a division of CenturyLink, Inc., and responsible for all sales activities and customer care throughout the Western United States.  Prior to Savvis, Jeff was Vice President of Americas Sales at VeriSign, a global leader in security services.

Jeff also succeeded in a variety of roles at Equinix, iPass and CompuServe.  In addition, Jeff is a co-founder and Board Member of DRFortress, Hawaii’s largest datacenter and cloud services operator.  Jeff earned a B.A. degree from the University of Chicago and a M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University. Among many other professional studies, Jeff completed the Executive Program in Strategic Sales Management at the Chicago Booth School of Business in 2009.

Tom Stimmel joined Cobalt Data Centers in November 2013, bringing with him a unique blend of executive acumen, organizational team building and a quality focused approach to operational improvement and sustainability.  Tom previously worked at CoreLink Data Centers, where he built high-performance operational teams at a national level that consistently delivered results by aligning technical service delivery and employee focus to business goals.  At CoreLink, Tom also launched a comprehensive change management policy and training agenda.

In addition to CoreLink, Tom has held leadership roles at DataSide, MCI, Qwest, WorldCom, and the U.S. Navy.  Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Hiram College and maintains an active membership role in many industry technology groups including the Green Data Center Alliance and the Open Data Center Alliance.
